Still in Bulgaria

Still in Bulgaria
Twenty four hours left
Still wearing my genteman’s shoes
That need a shinin’
Skinny jeans I had fixed
A deep purple shirt
And a fake pair of glasses
(Can’t give myself away, can I?)
I was going to send you a postcard,
Stephanie. Had the stamp already on it
But I can’t seem to find it.
I don’t know if it’s the fog
or the smog
but I can’t see the mountains;
only a fountain.
Went to a MacDonald
that served ice cream only.
Saw a bus called ‘Killer’
Battery’s dead or else I’d take a picture.
I got drunk on the bus
Off a beer that cost two bucks.
Took a nap in the station
with bags strapped around me.
Still waiting to throw ‘em off
Then, I think, I’d be doing what they asked.
